Hi, it's been some time since I played GC2, with moving, and being involved with someone, but as my gf renewed my interest in Civ3 and GC2, I decided to start up a game. For Role Playing purposes, I used a simple cheat for Saturn and Jupiter, making them both class 3 planets. This went over well. Now, for further rp purposes, I had planned on starting with the planets in the Sol System all under the Terran flag, by using the Ctrl + L cheat, "Assign Planet." Well I used it, and Saturn came out Drengin, and Jupiter was Altarian. How would I go about assigning these planets to ME? If it's not possible, I can always play legit, and colonize them myself, but I'd like to autostart with them if possible.

Thanks in advance to anyone that can assist me.

Quick edit: I couldn't quite decide where to post this, so if it should be elsewhere, please move it mods. :]

No cheat for that. The one you used just splits up all uncolonized planets evenly between the races.

How could you even want to cheat in that game?! That's a slap in the face! Lol!

clone your colony ship, teleport it to next to the planet, then colonize them.

If you're patient and determined enough, you could always create a custom map from scratch with anything necessary, also!

If you took the time you read my post, you would of read that it's for ROLEPLAY purposes. The game doesn't quite handle the Sol System as needed for my ROLEPLAYING purposes, so I did a minor edit to make the home system planets habitable.

Also, I'll just play legit after the edit, or do as Kontana suggested. Thank you Kyro for explaining that cheat, and thank you to Kotana and Zyxpsilon for constructive suggestions.

Start your game and use the "save map" key (IIRC ctrl-G) in the cheat mode. Edit your map with what you want and start the game up again by loading the map you edited.

Hmm, I tried that, but the app auto crashes when I try to load the saved map.
